Working/ Operating Principle of Attrition Mill

Attrition Mill machine works along the similar principle as the agitator mills in which the vertical special agitator with self-rotating hardened dot welded beaters is close-fitted with agitator shaft arranged in staggered positions one above the other and at a specific angle in relation to one another. In Attrition Mill, the agitator runs in a container which can be heated or cooled as required. 

Attrition milling’s batch type operation where ingredients to be ground are served in as a suspension or as single modules with built-in product discharge valve with screen allows the separation of product material and grinding media. Size and material of the grinding media depend on the product to be processed and the exchange of the grinding media is made possible by a tilt apparatus. Attrition Mill’s capacity is dependent on prerequisite particle size of the reduced material, with rougher products produced at higher rates. The replaceable Attrition milling plates are provided in numerous patterns to optimize size reduction for specific types of materials. Vertical orientation of the discs, together with a quick-release hinged stator disc housing, permits for thorough clean-out between product runs.
